FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 8, 2020 – Nationally-known Artist Brian Keith (b. 1971), who has earned recognition for his bronze works of art, is taking on a new project in the City of San Ramon and is on pace to build the largest bronze of a Golden Eagle in the State of California.

The Eagle is symbolic of freedom and the majesty of flight. Because the Tri-Valley is home to the fully protected species, the Golden Eagle, Keith seeks to capture the eagle’s nobility in his trademark artistic shape and design.  Poised in defense, wings outstretched and curved in a protective pose, the San Ramon Eagle will be among the largest bronze eagle sculptures on display in the nation – and the largest in the State of California.

Artist’s rendering of the San Ramon Eagle at Rancho San Ramon Park

The eagle is a symbol of the beauty of wildlife at its finest. I’m so proud to be working with the City of San Ramon and pray that my vision for this majestic eagle will instill a sense of joy and patriotism, complimenting the scenic beauty of the landscape at Rancho San Ramon Park. During this time of uncertainty, as we all shelter-in-place, the community of San Ramon and its neighbors can look forward to viewing fine art made available to the public and be reminded of nature’s simplicity and elegance.  I can’t wait to have the San Ramon Eagle become a part of the tapestry of my hometown.”

— Brian Keith

The San Ramon Eagle is created in partnership with the City of San Ramon and is scheduled for completion in 2021. The piece will become part of the City of San Ramon Public Art Tour and enjoyed by the community for generations.
